NOTE TO SELLERS: Beware of scammers who typically cannot inspect your car (often they're 'in the military', 'away working in South-East Asia', 'working at sea', or 'buying for a relative'), who ask for chassis numbers, condition, price or other details which may already have been stated in your advertisement, who want your PayPal or bank details and barely negotiate on price... (or even offer your full asking price or more 'to cover shipping'). If it feels like a scam, it probably is a scam...

1969 NSU Ro80
Of 19 Ro80s delivered new in Perth, this is one of 6 registered in WA in 1970. Significantly, it was rust-proofed when new, making it a rare survivor today. This car has had comprehensive mechanical rebuild in the last ten years with the current owner. Previously the engine had been uprated to a Mazda 12A rotary, giving reliability and performance. The engine has been rebuilt (giving 140bhp), transmission, brakes, radiator, fuel pump and more. New Pirelli tyres , battery and exhaust with stainless steel muffler were fitted, and much more. The body is in excellent condition. The upholstery is showing signs of age and would benefit from being re-done. Inertia reel seatbelts have been fitted. The car has just been serviced and runs sweetly. All work has been done by leading experts. It has been a very reliable car. Being reluctantly sold due to purchase of another car. The Ro80 is recognized as one of the most significant designs of its era. With a rotary engine, semi-automatic, front wheel drive, aerodynamic shape, power steering, disc brakes, etc, it was a very advanced car – and justifiably the winner of World Car of the Year in 1967. Small numbers were sold in Australia and sadly, most have rusted away or succumbed to problems with the original rotary engine. Probably less than a dozen remain on the road in Australia. This car featured in a 6-page article in Unique Cars magazine and a couple of newspaper articles whilst in its current ownership. The car has won awards at the German Car Day and Day of the Volkswagen exhibition. It has been displayed at many car shows, where it always attracts attention. It looks very smart in Glacier White with black interior. The car will be sold with a comprehensive history file, copy of the handbook and parts book and by negotiation, a quantity of spare parts. Car in WA. $12,500 ono. Rare opportunity... Call Paul on 0407 097 911

1967 Holden Premier
Close to concourse condition...literally “turn key”. 2-speed automatic. This car was purchased 2 years ago from another HR enthusiast. I bought it because it is the same model as my very first new car purchased in 1967...48 years ago...and still drives and looks as good as it did then. Fortunately, the car was 100% sound as I am not mechanically minded, but have told on many occasions by experts that this car is as good as it gets” and the 10,000 miles driven since I purchased it have been smooth as with no hiccups. In addition to all the inclusions in the original car, a former owner installed a remote controlled radio/CD player/speakers and rear seat belts. Apart from that, it seems totally original. Goes without saying, the RWC will impress as will the car. Specs: First registered: 15th September 1967 with its Original service books; Engine no: 186P326522 with twin Stromberg Carbies; Chassis no: HR60071M; Colour: Silver Mink ; Interior: Mint condition with original black leather. Exterior: A few small unnoticeable scratches and some small rust bubbles over the 2 front wheel arches Roof: Black vinyl. Tyres: Only 9k miles. Asking $25,000. Car is in Wonthaggi, Victoria. 1975 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Convertible by Avon-Stevens PRICE REDUCED
Avon, which later became Avon-Stevens, was a British coachbuilding company initially formed in 1919. One of their most successful products was a convertible roof conversion on the Jaguar and Daimler XJC of the mid-1970s. These conversions were done with the approval of Jaguar Cars and some were sold by Jaguar dealers. The well-designed conversion incorporated additional strengthening engineered into the cars. The company proudly proclaimed that the soft-top roof wouldn’t flap or distort at speed when up. The mechanism and materials were of a high quality. It is believed that only fifteen Daimlers were converted, where a lot more Jaguars were subject of the Avon-Stevens work. This car is understood to have been a new vehicle when converted. According to the Avon-Stevens Convertible Register, in addition to this Daimler, three Jaguar XJC Convertibles by Avon-Stevens presently exist in Australia. This car had belonged for many years to the President of the Daimler Club in Great Britain. His son brought the car with him when he migrated to Australia about 25 years ago. He had the car repainted in Western Australia. After two years he sold the car to the present owner who has since had it in his collection for over 20 years. As one of about a dozen of his cars, it has been used predominantly for club events and displays, where it has always attracted attention. He is pleased that the car was always particularly reliable. The only major mechanical work he has had to undertake during his ownership was having the rear end rebuilt. It has always been kept garaged. A new soft-top in the correct material was fitted a few years ago. The wood on the glovebox lid would benefit from being re-polished and the steering wheel centre pad has suffered from the heat. A small quantity of parts will be sold with the car. Tools, handbooks and manuals are with the Daimler. Number plates D 1975 can be transferred with the car to a Western Australian buyer. This car features the legendary comfort and performance of the XJC, but with the exclusiveness of being a coachbuilt convertible – and an extremely rare machine. Price reduced to $22,000 or reasonable offer. Selling on behalf of the owner. Contact Paul 0407 097 911.

1913 Rover Clegg Colonial Tourer
4 Seater Tourer - Engine number QK1682. The Rover Company employed Owen Clegg to design a simple, practical and up-to-date car from 1910. His 12hp and 18hp cars, first introduced in 1911, were immediate and spectacular successes. Many were sold in Australia and more than a dozen of the ‘Home’ models survive today. This car however, is a rare ‘Colonial’ model made only for the 1913 season. There are thought to be around three left in the world. This vehicle, another in the UK and bits of one in New Zealand. They differ from the ‘Home’ models in the front and rear axles along with the size of the wheels. This was to combat the colonial conditions giving the car more ground clearance. The restoration has been on and off over the past 35 years. Edward has had the motor professionally reconditioned, the interior stylishly fitted and finished and the hood work also completed professionally. Specifications: Four cylinder side valve engine, 2.3 litres. Three speed crash gearbox. Worm and wheel final drive. Thermosyphon cooling (no water pump). Gravity fed fuel (no fuel pump). Magneto and crank handle start – with electric starter added. Maximum speed should be about 75 km/h. Please contact Christopher Nixon (Edward’s son) for further information or for an inspection of the vehicle. The vehicle is housed in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Also ask about spare parts we have available including an engine, differential, body parts and chassis for another Clegg. Asking $30,000. Mobile 0438 388 717 Email email@example.com

1950 MG TD Roadster PRICE REDUCED
A remarkably well restored example of this classic British roadster. Always a WA car, it was purchased by the previous owner 48 years ago and he undertook its thorough restoration. The owner had been Rolls-Royce trained in England and his immense skill set was used to produce a very high quality restoration. All mechanical components of the car were completely rebuilt, from engine, gearbox and differential, suspension, brakes, steering, to smaller items. The wiring was redone, chrome-work refinished, and new leather upholstery fitted. A new hood with wet weather gear, cover for the hood and even a car cover were made. The bodywork received an equally high level of attention and remains immaculate today – eight years after the car was finished. A year after completion, the car was sold to a friend of the restorer (who not long after passed away). The car has not been in the rain since the 1960s! It has covered approximately 500 miles since completion. It starts very easily and with the sports air cleaner, has a very sporty induction noise. The car has a very tight feel to it. This car has had just two owners in the last 48 years. Inside, outside, under the bonnet and underneath, this car stands out as being thoroughly, competently and carefully restored. A better MG TD would be extremely hard to find. Asking $32,000. Call 0407 097 911 for more details.

'Great Car Ingots', in Sterling Silver, by John Pinches Medallists, UK. 36 vintage and veteran cars ingot set. Rare, fine automobilia. A full set of solid Sterling Silver vintage car ingots in the original lockable walnut display box, with descriptive cards. Issued in 1974 commemorating Lord Montagu’s National Motor Museum at Beaulieu's finest cars. Manufactured by John Pinches Medallists, London, which had been producing high quality items for over 100 years. Issued in Australia by Stokes Australasia Ltd, Victoria, only sold by subscription. Hallmarked by the London Assay Office, each ingot weighs 67 grams, featuring raised relief cars on the front, with descriptive details on the reverse. Depictions of the cars are of a very high standard with fine detail and excellent proportions. Each ingot measures 52mm wide, 29mm high with a thickness of 5mm. Slight markings on several ingots, very likely can be polished out. This is a complete set, still with its original owner (for 40 years) and never before offered for sale. Reluctantly offered. These have sets occasionally come onto the market in collector's car auctions, usually without the descriptive cards or key for the display case. These are included, though there is some handwriting of the names of the cars on the cards. The lockable walnut display case retains the key and is in fine condition, showing only two very small marks. Hinges and (working) locking mechanism are in brass. Set includes such marques as Hispano Suiza, Bugatti, Auto Union, Rolls-Royce, Packard, Daimler, Alfa Romeo, Auburn, Maserati, Bentley, etc - ask for full list. This was an expensive set when new, costing $1080 in 1974 (when a new Mini cost $2085), and few were sold in Australia. Pure silver value today is almost $2000, plus collector's Coin Premium (up to 1/3rd), the case, lock/key, cards, age and complete set value add to the desirability of this set. This is a high quality, rare and very collectable set of automotive commemorative ingots. One of the ultimate collectors automobilia sets. Asking $3,500 or very near offer. In Western Australia. 1914 Sunbeam Sporting Model 12/16hp 'Coupe de l'auto'
Car Number 8536. Engine Number 8528. This remarkable 12/16 Sunbeam is a very rare example of the highly desirable Sporting Model from a most prestigious manufacturer. Known colloquially as the Coupe de l'Auto, being the fast production version inspired by the successful Sunbeam Coupe de l'auto racing entries, the car has a lightened and balanced engine, stronger crankshaft, drilled pistons and rods, extra large valves and manifolds, oil supply and filtering equipment and other additional equipment supplied at the factory. The car has a known history to 1920 and only three owners from then all in NSW, Australia. It spent most of its life in the Coonamble district in western NSW, and has undergone a very thorough restoration over the past few years leaving it in brilliant driving condition. A very rare opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable Edwardian sporting tourers built. It is still finished to factory specification for the 12/16 Sporting Model. The major body panels are original including the cowl the rear tub and mudguards, and other restoration has been completed to a very high standard using all the original components. The car originally had no hood, and none has been fitted during the restoration. A folding hood was added and used on the car in the late 1920s (see photo above of this actual car). The special competition-type engine features significant factory improvements including drilled pistons and connecting rods, lightweight engine block, oil supply and filtering equipment, a stronger crankshaft than standard and extra large valves and manifolds. The wheels are 880 x 120 and the radiator is the larger "Colonial" type fitted to most cars exported from England. The car has an electric starter and dynamo. The lights, horn, magneto and exhaust system are all original to this car. The interior is trimmed in leather as per the original pattern. Presentation is very good and the scarcity of this important Edwardian sporting model will make it a welcome addition to many events here or overseas. More photos on request. Can in NSW. Asking $120,000. Contact Antony: firstname.lastname@example.org
1926 Bayliss-Thomas Tourer
An amazingly original car in one ownership since the 1950s, this delightful four cylinder ohv Meadows engined example has a lovely three speed gearbox, starts on the button, and gives positively zippy performance with a top speed of around 60kph. The charming Beritish tourer is totally original but for a recent repaint in the original colour. In excellent mechanical condition, minor attention to items like the original wiring will make this even better to use. The hood fabric on the easy to operate one-man top is now somewhat brittle but intact, and a full set of side curtains survives under the commodious rear seat. The car has numerous original documents from new and wears the original Melbourne dealers' plate. Very rare and very British. Car is in Braidwood NSW, near Canberra. Asking $25,000. 1984 Porsche 944
2.5-litre, 5 speed manual, rear wheel drive, WA registered, A/C, electric windows, electric mirrors, engine immobilizer, sunroof, 6 disc CD changer, and comfortable Recaro front seats. Australian delivered. Due to my partner purchasing another car, it is time to let go of my 944 which is just not being used much these days. Always garaged, looks good like a classic coupe does, drives great, and sounds like it should. Engineered with a rear mounted gearbox for perfect 50/50 weight distribution it is a joy to drive. Having no power steering allows for a more responsive feeling and due to the car's small dimensions and light weight it is still easy to manoeuvre at low speeds. Over the last two years of my ownership the following has been replaced, mostly by Ktec Autohaus the Porsche specialists, otherwise independent specialists, receipts available: Waterpump, timing belt, clutch, rear main oil seal, thermostat, radiator, fan motors, front shocks, battery, front tyres, sports muffler, A/C (regassed). The car has been regularly serviced, with the most recent service being done on 20/01/2014 and the mechanic describing the car as “mechanically immaculate”. The paint has some minor flaws but as you can see it looks great. Car is located in Perth. $12,700 ono. Contact Antony 0451 040 552.

This is a sensational road or track car constructed to private order specifically for historic road rallying, circuit racing, hillclimbs and sprints. Plans obtained from the USA and provided by historian/author John Blanden formed the basis for the build by engineer Jeff Gransden during the 1970s. The coachwork, a lightweight alloy 2-seat roadster was constructed by Elfin Sports Cars of South Australia and features leather trim and upholstery, large capacity fuel tank, quick detachable mudguards, lights and spare wheel (for competition use) and full split tonneau. The chassis and mechanicals/running gear are pre 1939 Mercury Ford V8.
