NOTES TO SELLERS: Beware of scammers who typically cannot inspect your car (often they're 'in the military', 'away working in South-East Asia', 'working at sea', or 'buying for a relative'), who ask for chassis numbers, condition, price or other details which may already have been stated in your advertisement, who want your PayPal or bank details and barely negotiate on price... (or even offer your full asking price or more 'to cover shipping'). If it feels like a scam, it probably is a scam...  Please advise when your car has been sold.

Recently recommissioned, this vehicle is now mechanically and electrically sorted with the following work undertaken: - Overhauled brake calipers, new brake master cylinder, rear discs and pads - Replacement heater valve, radiator thermoswitch, and cooling pipework - New fuel hoses - Correct (Cromodora CD91) wheels fitted with new Michelin tyres and wheel alignment - Replacement timing belt, air cleaner and spark plugs - New battery - Upgraded radio - Reinstatement of correct wiring connections - Numerous cosmetic enhancements and replacement trim - Correct front grille sourced and fitted - Refurbished interior - Underbody cooling pipework replaced - Koni shock absorbers.

With nothing left to do mechanically, this entry-level classic is ready to use as a summer cruiser, while repairs to the body would not be an overcapitalisation at this price. Now on club (404) registration, with X1/9 prices starting to rise this car is priced to sell at $11,000 ono (including custom number plate). Contact Giles on 0447 863 641 or

1977 Triumph Stag - $32,500 ono

This car was comprehensively restored and became a multiple concours winner. It had been a Melbourne car, which was restored in the 1990s to the highest possible standard. Every aspect to the car received attention and the result, when presented at the Triumph Car Club’s Concours d’Elegance, was a win in 1995, followed up again with a win in 1996. The car went on to achieve wins in 2002, 2003 and 2004, then Master Class in 2005 and 2006. Work undertaken had included rebuilding of the motor, transmission, diff, power steering, suspension, brakes, hydraulics and more. The body had been taken back to bare metal and repainted in the original Pimento Red colour. The history files with the car show that even after the car’s Concours wins, attention was lavished on the car with more work done over the years, and many thousands more spent. This included for example, the seats, door trims and roof bars being reupholstered in 2004. Lots of other new parts have been fitted including a new soft-top, badges, lights, etc. The same owner retained the car until 2007 when bought by the present owner, who shipped it to Western Australia. Now the current owner has decided to sell after 14 years, the car having provided lots of pleasure in club events during his ownership. Registered OUR STAG. Whilst not perfect, the car would be one of the best Stags around and representing excellent value. Please request an email with a detailed description of the car as well as a set of photos. 1932 Rover Pilot - $18,000

Rare car. All the brakes have been relined and all the hydraulics have been renewed. It has had a brand new electric fuel pump fitted, and the carby has been restored. It has all new tubes with good condition Michelin tires and a new battery. It is almost ready for the road. It needs a clutch adjustment and the paint requires finishing. The vehicle had been sitting in a shed for 10 years when I acquired it, so I suspect that the clutch thrust bearing is sticking on the shaft. Selling due to ill health. Asking $18,000. In Hervey Bay, Queensland. Keith Elliott - 0412 839 020

1959 Daimler Majestic - $18,000

A rare car, only 1490 made and thought to be one of only 3 roadworthy in Australia! Passed Vic Roadworthy in September 2021 when it was put onto club plates. Body and paint in good to excellent condition. Repainted white (previously used as a wedding car). Equipped with coil-sprung independent front suspension and a well located 'live' rear axle the Daimler boasted a 100mph top speed. Please enquire for details of work done and spare parts with the car. Car is in Sale, Victoria. Asking price for car and spares is $18,000. Contact Brian, 0439 473 363

2011 AMG C63 P31 Performance Package Plus - $78,000 ono
This is a very rare and desirable highly optioned version of the luxurious and fast V8 C63. P31 improvements added $18,000 to the price of a C63 and included including forged pistons, connecting rods and lightweight crankshaft from the SLS AMG, together with a new engine management system. Power output was raised to 358kW. There was also a limited slip diff as well as 2-piece front rotors. Wheels went from 18 inch to 19 and the package was capped off with red Brembo brake callipers. The P31 package also came with a whole lot of interior and external upgrades.
However this car has been further upgraded with carefully selected equipment including engine upgrades taking the engine output to 404kW and 650Nm, improved brakes, suspension and cooling. Over $25,000 has been spent perfecting the car. The owner is an older gent with huge experience in car preparation, including having owned a specialist workshop overseas. He has kept all the original equipment, which will go with the car. 1931 Chrysler CM 6 Deluxe Sedan - $47,500 ono
Believed to be the only example in Australia, this stylish car has been the subject of a multi award winning restoration. It features a 3.6-litre 6-cylinder motor and hydraulic brakes, meaning it quite easily performs well on the road. Factory options include wire spoke wheels, an external sun visor and three roll-up blinds for the rear compartment. There are a lot of nice touches, including wind down rear side windows and a folding luggage rack. Personally imported in 1990 by someone who was a Chrysler dealer from 1948 until the company’s demise in Australia as a sound, running car, it has proven extremely reliable since its restoration was completed. It comes with a box of trophies the car has won, plus a violin case with (replica) machine gun. It’s a beautifully presented car which would cost twice the asking price to restore to the condition it’s in.
For sale on behalf of the owner. 1GQE493. Please request an email with full details and photos. Paul Blank Classic Car Broker MD28143

1927 Studebaker Dictator - $28,500 ono
A large and well-equipped, 4-litre, 6-cylinder model these Studebakers had a reputation for robustness. This car was comprehensively restored for participation in the Bicentennial Rally and ran Perth to Canberra and back. It has since been retained and well maintained by the same owner, who has now owned the car for 35 years. It’s always proven reliable and comfortable. A rare and very desirable California Hardtop is fitted – and probably was always fitted to this car. It was an expensive option in period and offers better weather protection and comfort without a full-steel sedan body. This also features retractable spring-loaded, roll-up side curtains. Other nice details include cowl-mounted sidelights and a high-quality stainless steel radiator mascot. It’s still proudly wearing the rally plates from the Bicentennial Rally. The owner says that of all the many vintage and classic cars he’s owned, this Studebaker has always been the most reliable and a firm favourite. But he’s now approaching his mid-80s and has decided to sell off some of his old cars. This car offers the benefits of a quality restoration and proving itself over many years. VCC1927 is believed to be the only example in Western Australia.

1953 Jaguar MkVII Saloon - $22,500 ono PRICE REDUCED
Widely regarded as one of the sportiest large British saloons of the period, its new twin-camshaft 6-cylinder engine endowed the model with smoothness and power. The interior was beautifully fitted out with leather seating and plenty of polished woodwork. This car’s early history is unknown, but the current owner has had the car for 35 years. When the present owner first bought the car, it required some work, though was licensed and driving. This included removal of rust from the sills, rear wheelarches and boot floor. The owner assures that when up on a hoist, there’s no sign of rust today. The Jaguar was comprehensively retrimmed to a high standard, with everything done. The polished woodwork was also re-done –in addition to the dashboard, the door cappings and window surrounds were done. The car was completely re-wired and the owner advises everything works as it should – even the semaphore indicators. The battery is two years old. The head was redone by Dave Sullivan after a suspected head gasket issue several years ago. The radiator was re-cored. The front and rear suspension have been refurbished. The car has seen minimal use during the present ownership of the last 35 years, doing local runs every fortnight and the occasional club run. The owner estimates the car has covered just 1000km in his ownership. It has been kept regularly maintained, and as such runs very well. A quantity of spare parts will go with the car. There are some minor marks showing on the bodywork and several pieces of the chrome trim are pitted, the cast parts in particular. The paint has some areas better than others. The owner has priced the car fairly, given that it’s not concours, but at a fraction of what he has spent on this stylish car over the years. It’s a charming, honest and luxurious, stylish big saloon.
