NOTES TO SELLERS: Beware of scammers who typically cannot inspect your car (often they're 'in the military', 'away working in South-East Asia', 'working at sea', or 'buying for a relative'), who ask for chassis numbers, condition, price or other details which may already have been stated in your advertisement, who want your PayPal or bank details and barely negotiate on price... (or even offer your full asking price or more 'to cover shipping'). If it feels like a scam, it probably is a scam... Please advise when your car has been sold.

Very original Corvair Convertible. From the final year of the first generation Corvair, with the enlarged 2.7-litre engine introduced for 1964. This car is an almost finished project. Excellent, straight body was stripped and repainted in the original colour metallic burgundy in 2017. A new soft-top has been purchased from the USA but not yet fitted. New tyres and hubcaps fitted and the carburettors overhauled. It runs sweetly. 72,000 miles from new, believed genuine. Some finishing yet to do. No floor mats in the front. 1965 Chrysler Valiant AP5 Sedan
AP5 Valiant, made in 1965. Everything is original, except the engine which is a VE motor. It is registered in South Australia and drives well. It is a push button automatic. The exhaust is a bit noisy and there is a spot of rust here and there, but it is a beautiful car. The car is in Adelaide and I am looking for $8000 for it. Contact Greg Carter firstname.lastname@example.org or mobile 0448 032 412
1977 Jaguar XJC 4.2 Coupe
A very beautiful example of Jaguar's elegant, pillarless XJC 4.2 Coupe. Previous long-term owner spent a fortune inside, outside, mechanically, etc, completely restoring this car. Australian delivered, chrome wire wheels and an attractive colour scheme. No rust, no oil leaks, no rattles and everything works. It’s a seriously pristine car throughout. Has documentation showing the work done. Drives as beautifully as an XJC should. Nothing to spend. Asking $39,900 from a very reluctant seller. Considering how XJC values are staring to move in the UK and its condition, it’s very fairly priced. Owner has run out of space after buying too many cars and he’s decided this car can go. The car is in Adelaide. Contact Paul on 0407 097 911.
1994 Porsche 993 Carrera
993 Carrera Coupe rear wheel drive, manual with sunroof. Australian-delivered, fully stamped service book with invoice file, plus tools. Has done 134,000km, serviced by reputable specialists. The airbag control unit needs replacing, small amount of stone chips on front, two wheels have minor kerb rash, but that’s about all anyone could criticise. Catalytic converter in good condition, but taken off the car (goes with it). It’s a clean, tidy car in an attractive colour scheme. Interior very good too. Runs very well. Current owner bought the car in Melbourne 10 years ago, then shipped it to Perth. Highly desirable, last of the air-cooled 911s and rare... not an automatic. Owner is realistic and keen to sell, so asking $115,000. Contact Paul on 0407 097 911 who is handling the sale on behalf of the owner.
1968 Renault 8 Gordini
This 1968 fully restored R8 Gordini is offered for sale to the classic Renault enthusiast. R8G was purchased by current owner at Shannon’s Melbourne auction in September 2013 for $27,500, having had three previous owners. The immediate past owner loved Gordi for over 25 years before having to reluctantly sell at the auction. “Gordi” was in reasonable shape but needed quite a bit of repair and restoration to be an enjoyable daily drive and to participate in classic racing events. The restoration was done by Ray Watson at Gecko Engineering over an 18 month period and included the following: BODY: Gordi was completely stripped before media blast. This revealed a very sound body with very little rust but had some damage on the driver side pillar. PAZ Automotive Spray Painting was commissioned to do the necessary repairs and respray in Gordini Blue. The result is a stunning looking as new Gordini body. Total cost of for body and panels was $24,500. All rubber seals were replaced for doors and windows. ENGINE: The engine has been completely restored with all new parts, where available, and used parts sourced from around the world which were then serviced and brought back to as new standard. The new parts include the pistons and liners, cam shaft and followers, gaskets etc. With new exhaust and muffler from Auto Bleu Gordi sounds awesome and drives easily in traffic, on the open road and on the track. MegaJolt electronic ignition was added after initial restoration. This transformed the Gordi into an even easier and well behaved car to drive. GEARS & SUSPENSION: The gears, clutch and running gear were fully stripped, serviced and repaired where necessary. There was not much work required as all were in good condition. ELECTRICALS: The wiring loom was replaced with new one. Fuses were modified and relays added to modern electrical standards. WHEELS & TYRES: The Gordini wheels with Michelin XAS tyres are in very good condition. There is also a set of four Brahim rims included in the sale. These came from a Renault A110 with near new Dunlop SP Sport 200 175/65 tyres. Both 15 inch wheels. OTHER: In preparation for historic racing a roll cage was and a retro style racing seat plus four point racing harness were fitted. These are removable to restore Gordi back to original seats. There is also a car cover that I had made for Gordi. There is also a range of spares that came with the car plus original exhaust and muffler. The restoration in including paint, panel parts and labour was over $100,000. But the result was worth it. Now due to changing circumstances it is time to offer Gordi to a Renault enthusiast who appreciates a car famous in Australian rally history and a legend in European racing. Offers over $75,000. Car in Perth. Contact Graeme on 0407 197 519

1913 Rover Clegg Colonial Tourer
4 Seater Tourer - Engine number QK1682. The Rover Company employed Owen Clegg to design a simple, practical and up-to-date car from 1910. His 12hp and 18hp cars, first introduced in 1911, were immediate and spectacular successes. Many were sold in Australia and more than a dozen of the ‘Home’ models survive today. This car however, is a rare ‘Colonial’ model made only for the 1913 season. There are thought to be around three left in the world. This vehicle, another in the UK and bits of one in New Zealand. They differ from the ‘Home’ models in the front and rear axles along with the size of the wheels. This was to combat the colonial conditions giving the car more ground clearance. The restoration has been on and off over the past 35 years. Edward has had the motor professionally reconditioned, the interior stylishly fitted and finished and the hood work also completed professionally. Specifications: Four cylinder side valve engine, 2.3 litres. Three speed crash gearbox. Worm and wheel final drive. Thermosyphon cooling (no water pump). Gravity fed fuel (no fuel pump). Magneto and crank handle start – with electric starter added. Maximum speed should be about 75 km/h. Please contact Christopher Nixon (Edward’s son) for further information or for an inspection of the vehicle. The vehicle is housed in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Also ask about spare parts we have available including an engine, differential, body parts and chassis for another Clegg. Asking $30,000. Mobile 0438 388 717 Email firstname.lastname@example.org

1914 Sunbeam Sporting Model 12/16hp 'Coupe de l'auto'
Car Number 8536. Engine Number 8528. This remarkable 12/16 Sunbeam is a very rare example of the highly desirable Sporting Model from a most prestigious manufacturer. Known colloquially as the Coupe de l'Auto, being the fast production version inspired by the successful Sunbeam Coupe de l'auto racing entries, the car has a lightened and balanced engine, stronger crankshaft, drilled pistons and rods, extra large valves and manifolds, oil supply and filtering equipment and other additional equipment supplied at the factory. The car has a known history to 1920 and only three owners from then all in NSW, Australia. It spent most of its life in the Coonamble district in western NSW, and has undergone a very thorough restoration over the past few years leaving it in brilliant driving condition. A very rare opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable Edwardian sporting tourers built. It is still finished to factory specification for the 12/16 Sporting Model. The major body panels are original including the cowl the rear tub and mudguards, and other restoration has been completed to a very high standard using all the original components. The car originally had no hood, and none has been fitted during the restoration. A folding hood was added and used on the car in the late 1920s (see photo above of this actual car). The special competition-type engine features significant factory improvements including drilled pistons and connecting rods, lightweight engine block, oil supply and filtering equipment, a stronger crankshaft than standard and extra large valves and manifolds. The wheels are 880 x 120 and the radiator is the larger "Colonial" type fitted to most cars exported from England. The car has an electric starter and dynamo. The lights, horn, magneto and exhaust system are all original to this car. The interior is trimmed in leather as per the original pattern. Presentation is very good and the scarcity of this important Edwardian sporting model will make it a welcome addition to many events here or overseas. More photos on request. Can in NSW. Asking $120,000. Contact Antony: email@example.com
1926 Bayliss-Thomas Tourer
An amazingly original car in one ownership since the 1950s, this delightful four cylinder ohv Meadows engined example has a lovely three speed gearbox, starts on the button, and gives positively zippy performance with a top speed of around 60kph. The charming Beritish tourer is totally original but for a recent repaint in the original colour. In excellent mechanical condition, minor attention to items like the original wiring will make this even better to use. The hood fabric on the easy to operate one-man top is now somewhat brittle but intact, and a full set of side curtains survives under the commodious rear seat. The car has numerous original documents from new and wears the original Melbourne dealers' plate. Very rare and very British. Car is in Braidwood NSW, near Canberra. Asking $25,000. 1984 Porsche 944
2.5-litre, 5 speed manual, rear wheel drive, WA registered, A/C, electric windows, electric mirrors, engine immobilizer, sunroof, 6 disc CD changer, and comfortable Recaro front seats. Australian delivered. Due to my partner purchasing another car, it is time to let go of my 944 which is just not being used much these days. Always garaged, looks good like a classic coupe does, drives great, and sounds like it should. Engineered with a rear mounted gearbox for perfect 50/50 weight distribution it is a joy to drive. Having no power steering allows for a more responsive feeling and due to the car's small dimensions and light weight it is still easy to manoeuvre at low speeds. 1953 Holden FJ Sedan
My Baby has to be sold, as we have recently shifted homes and there's nowhere to garage her under main roof. I'm not wanting to make any money on her, not even for my labour input. I just wish to break even on what it cost me to restore, including the custom plates. It is still garaged at previous home in South Perth at the moment. I am 3rd owner from new & it has been road licensed all the time. Original owners were a father who handed it onto his daughter, from whom I bought it. Asking $28,000. Michael Ducrow - 0410 080 278

1939 Mercury V8 Indy Road/race Special
This is a sensational road or track car constructed to private order specifically for historic road rallying, circuit racing, hillclimbs and sprints. Plans obtained from the USA and provided by historian/author John Blanden formed the basis for the build by engineer Jeff Gransden during the 1970s. The coachwork, a lightweight alloy 2-seat roadster was constructed by Elfin Sports Cars of South Australia and features leather trim and upholstery, large capacity fuel tank, quick detachable mudguards, lights and spare wheel (for competition use) and full split tonneau. The chassis and mechanicals/running gear are pre 1939 Mercury Ford V8. The fully balanced, flowed, ported and polished engine features high compression pistons, crankshaft, Offenhauser heads, twin Stromberg 97 carburettors, Mallory ignition, large capacity radiator, water pumps and much more. A close ratio gearbox with remote change, heavy duty rear end, revised steering ratios make for excellent road holding. Power is in excess of 130bhp, top speed around 180km/h and acceleration is stunning: yet the car is perfectly docile in heavy traffic conditions. Currently campaigned in vintage and historic events, and on club registration. The car is in virtually mint condition, it has a known history since new, having been in storage for over 20 years prior to my purchase in 2003. The total mileage is less than 15,000. I will consider a part trade of a large vintage sports tourer. Price $120,000. More detailed specifications, history and photographs available to serious enquiries. Car in Castlemaine, Victoria.
