The Grand Prix of America

An exciting new addition to the F1 calendar is the Grand Prix of America. Being held on a new partial street circuit at Port Imperial on the New Jersey waterfront, with the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline in the background, this is sure to become an iconic event. Work has been underway since early 2012 to construct the facilities for the venue and the Pits building has already been completed.

In June 2012 reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel drove around the streets for the media, where the circuit will evolve, giving the new track a big thumbs up. Many have likened the area to where the Monaco Grand Prix is set, with the interesting circuit layout changing to different levels as in Monaco.

The date for the Grand Prix has not yet been announced (as with most 2013 GPs), though the month of June is confirmed, probably immediately following the Canadian Grand Prix. As specific details of the event emerge, more information will be posted here.

We have organized a dinner in New York with the international Grand Prix Commentator Bob Constanduros, exclusively for our group. Bob has a wealth of knowledge and experience after more then two decades touring the globe doing the on-track commentary at every Grand Prix. This is a unique opportunity for participants in our group.

While in New York we have plenty of non-Grand Prix related activities to take in as well - this is one of the most exciting, vibrant cities in the world!
