Citroen DS Jubilee Celebrations held in Paris, October 2005

50 YEARS OF THE DS

50 photographs from the event which attracted about 2000 examples of France's greatest automotive icon.

The four-day event included a huge car display along with DS-related automobilia and parts sales at Saint Quentin en Yvelines parkland outside of Paris, followed by a parade on the Sunday from the Arc de Triumph to the Eiffel Tower. Cars and enthusiasts from around the world attended. Perhaps the car from the furthest was a 1957 DS19 from New South Wales. Participants (not necessarily with cars) were registered from as far afield as Japan, Israel, Canada, South Africa and the United States. Many rare versions were included, among them over 70 'Decapotable' convertibles. The Citroen factory also exhibited rare examples from their own collection.
